Take Utah highway 36 south of Tooele to the Pony Express Road near Vernon. From the pavement, it is 21.6 miles to Simpson Springs, 29.0 miles to the Old River Bed, and 35.1 mils to the turnoff to the Dugway Range. This turn is marked by the Tooele-Juab county line sign. This road eventually takes you into the mining district at the north end of the Dugway range.
