Take U.S 6-50 west out of Delta. Shortly past milepost 58, approxomately 32 miles out of Delta, turn right on a graded gravel road where a sign indicates Long Ridge Reservoir. At about 18.2 miles a road to the right leads to Wheeler Amphitheater. There are many other places in the area to dig fossils including Sponge Gully, Swasey Spring, and the pay site U-Dig fossils.
