Chuck’s Cabin is one of the three cabins (Jay’s, Walter’s, Chuck’s) that make up the Shrine Mountain Inn. Chuck’s has two separate levels that sleep six each. Each level has running hot and cold water, bathtub (upstairs), shower (downstairs), flush toilets, generator lighting, propane stoves, and fully-equipped kitchens. The upstairs has a small porch with an old chairlift hanging from the ceiling. The common rooms on both levels are rustic, yet extremely comfy and warm.

Chuck’s can be accessed all year round. In the summertime there are some fantastic mountain biking trails all over Shrine Mountain. In the wintertime the best skiing is found just to the SE in the Black Lake Glades. Ski tourers should try the Commando Run from Shrine Mountain Pass to Vail Ski Resort, used by the 10th Mountain Division for training in the 1940’s. Janet’s cabin is an easy 8.5 miles along Shrine Pass Rd & Upper Stafford Creek. Fowler/Hillard Hut is also just 6.75 miles along the scenic Shrine Mountain Ridge to Resolution Mountain.

Chuck’s and the rest of the Shrine Mountain Inn cabins are located in a USFS non-motorized area, so access by snowmobile or ATV is not possible. Dogs or other pets are not allowed at the cabins for sanitary reasons.
