A full-service, mid-priced, deliberately informal (and the first Zero Waste) hotel in Boulder.
Originally built in 1963 as a Holiday Inn, the hotel thrived under that name through 1998. The hotel has been through two major expansions. In 1973, the atrium [Boulder Square] area was built, enclosing the open-air courtyard. In 1983, the 40-room North Wing was added to keep up with guest room demand. Former owners replaced Holiday Inn with the Ramada name in 1998 and the hotel experienced some decline. Since the purchase December 2002, the hotel has gone through a $1.5 million redesign, renovation and revival to become the Boulder Outlook Hotel & Suites.
