16th century, grey Cotswold stone manor house with many Civil War associations including the tapestry-lined rooms stayed in by Cromwell and his second-in-command, General Ireton, in 1648. The house was added to at the turn of the last century and features the Edwardian Ballroom.Features: In the ‘vista’ garden is the family chapel.

Lived in Elizabethan manor house, guided tours by owner or his family. Chavenage has been used as a location for numbers of TV productions - Civil war connections resulting in the legend of Chavenage (The Headless Coachman). Will open throughout the year at any time for pre-arranged groups.
