Cayton yields ammonites and some superb Gastropods, Bivalves and Brachiopods from the Oxford Clay. These are best found on extreme low tide on the foreshore. This location is best during scouring conditions.

Access

Cayton Bay can be accessed from Osgodby along the A165 (then walking South along the beach) or through the holiday camp at Cayton near the waterworks. Parking is available. If parking at the holiday camp, walk South to visit Red Cliff or North for other exposures.
