A Jurassic Fault along the Balintore foreshore is well exposed, Oysters are quite common here, but belemnites can also be found. During the right conditions, ammonites can also be found. The cliffs here are Devonian.

Access

Head towards Balintore. Follow the road West and South through the town. At the end of the town, you can park along the side of the road near some houses. There is a hill ahead and the road veers North Westwards There is a grassy bank with a footpath down to the shore. From here, walk Southwards about a mile. You should see Jurassic Clays and Shale exposed on the foreshore.
