Alameda De Las Pulgas & Avy Ave
The Food
To drink, the Goose offers wine, hard cider, and a good selection of beers on tap, including Guinness, Bass, and Anchor Steam. Sandwiches come hot off the grill, spilling over with roasted turkey or grilled chicken, tomatoes, avocado, and cheese—or just cheese. The quarter- or half-pound burgers are juicy and fresh, served on a grilled bun with no condiments—they live at the serve-yourself condiment bar. On the lighter side, Caesar salad and soup also find their way onto the menu.
The Scene
This is a sit-down-and-make-yourself-at-home kind of pub, where most everyone is local and has been coming in since high school. With a jukebox, a pool table, a couple of TVs and layers of names carved in the cozy wooden tables, you’ll feel like you’ve been coming here for years too.
