Breathtaking gondola ride – unbelievable views of the Sawatch, New York and Gore Ranges. Gondola ride/$18 – free after 4 pm Thurs-Sat (runs until 9 pm). Lift closed M-Th in Sept. and Oct. 3 mile walk up mountain if closed.

I-70 west 1.5 hours from Denver, take main Vail exit and go to Lionshead Gondola. You must ride the Gondola to the 1st tee at the top.
