The breathtaking flags along the roadways of the local cemetery were started in 1990. The numerous flags are flown on National holidays and during American Gothic Days. The border of each flag bears the name, in tribute, of a deceased loved one. The impressive array of banners can be viewed as you descend the hill into Eldon from State Highway 16. There are about 190 flags flown at this time.
